The Alumni Association of Dhaka Shiksha Board Laboratory School and College (DSBLCAA) is a platform dedicated to bringing together former students of our beloved institution.
Built on the foundation of friendship, shared memories and a deep connection with our school, DSBLCAA aims to create a lifelong bond among alumni from all batches while contributing to the development and welfare of the school community.
Our journey began with a simple dream: to reconnect former students, revive old friendships and create a platform where alumni can stay connected, support each other and contribute to the future of our institution.
Our Journey
The Beginning of a Dream in 2018
Every great journey starts with a small idea.
In 2018, a group of former students from the SSC 1993 batch started discussing the possibility of organizing a reunion. What began as an initiative for one batch soon transformed into a bigger vision: bringing together former students from all batches of Dhaka Shiksha Board Laboratory School and College.
Friends from different batches joined the initiative, and the idea gradually grew into a movement to reconnect the entire alumni community.
Building Connections Among Alumni
To unite former students, the organizers created online communication platforms including a Facebook group and Messenger group.
These platforms became a place where alumni could reconnect, share memories and participate in discussions about future activities. However, bringing everyone together required continuous effort, dedication and meaningful social activities.
Creating Memories Together
To strengthen relationships among alumni, several social activities were organized, including:
- Pitha Utshob
- Iftar gatherings
- Informal alumni meetings
These events created opportunities for former students to meet again, rebuild friendships and actively participate in reunion planning.
The Grand Reunion: 1 March 2019
After months of preparation and teamwork, the first grand reunion of former students was successfully held on 1 March 2019.
The event brought together alumni from different batches who shared memories, celebrated their connection with the school and participated in cultural programmes involving both former and current students.
The reunion became a memorable milestone, proving that unity, friendship and dedication can create something truly meaningful.
Growing Alumni Community
Following the successful reunion, the alumni communication network continued to expand.
The Facebook group grew to around 3,000 former students, creating a strong platform for:
- Sharing memories
- Maintaining communication
- Discussing alumni activities
- Supporting each other
The success of this growing community inspired the vision of establishing a permanent alumni association.
Remembering Our Dear Friends
During this journey, the alumni community faced painful losses.
Two dedicated friends, Roni and Amin Bhai, who played important roles in supporting alumni activities, passed away. Their contributions and commitment remain an important part of the DSBLCAA journey.
Although these losses slowed the formal establishment process, the spirit of friendship and unity continued through ongoing communication and activities among former students.
Supporting Each Other Through Unity
The alumni community continued to demonstrate the power of togetherness through fundraising initiatives to support former students in need.
These activities showed that DSBLCAA is not only about gatherings and memories but also about standing beside fellow alumni during difficult times.
A New Chapter in 2026
After years of friendship, discussions and dedication, a new milestone was achieved.
On 11 September 2026, former students from different batches gathered at the residence of Asad from the 1990 batch to discuss the future of the alumni community.
Following discussions about previous activities, challenges and future goals, the decision was made to move forward with the formal establishment of the Alumni Association of Dhaka Shiksha Board Laboratory School and College (DSBLCAA).
This decision opened a new chapter in the journey that began in 2018.

Acknowledgement
The historical journey and story of the formation of the Alumni Association of Dhaka Shiksha Board Laboratory School and College (DSBLCAA) has been documented and written by Sayed Sunny (Batch 1990).
